About Me
Minot became home more than a decade ago when my husband accepted a position at Minot Air Force Base. We packed up our lives and drove halfway across the country to what was, at the time, the furthest west I had ever been. Coming from Central New York, I wasn’t sure what to expect—but I made a promise to myself to give this place a fair shot, despite some of the things I had "heard." I’m so glad I did.
Over the years, I’ve come to consider myself a community champion and a natural relationship builder. I take pride in staying connected—knowing what’s happening in the Magic City and who’s making it happen. Minot is a community in bloom, full of good energy and growth. We’re lucky to have strong education, rich recreational opportunities, and exciting new developments like the Magic City Discovery Center. As a family, we love spending time at the Roosevelt Park Zoo—truly one of the best in the state—with our two children, ages 7 and 5.
Recently, I’ve gotten into gardening, a bit of Cricut crafting, and listening to audiobooks while on the move. But my absolute favorite thing? Chasing the Aurora Borealis. I had no idea this kind of beauty was right here in Minot. There’s nothing like watching the northern lights dance across the prairie sky—it’s a breathtaking experience that city lights could never compete with. Even in freezing temperatures, I’ll drop everything for a chance to witness them.
Fun Fact About Me: I didn’t know you could see the northern lights here until we moved. Now, I’m hooked. I’ll always bundle up and head out to chase them whenever they appear—they never lose their magic.
